On 18 October 2016, CCS, together
with IP Academy, organised
a seminar on Navigating IP
& Competition Laws in the
Digital Economy. The seminar
was held to equip attendees
with the knowledge to navigate
the interface between IP and
competition laws. Set in the
context of the digital economy, the
session explored IP and competition
issues in two hot areas: Digital
Parallel Imports and Big Data. The
event attracted IP, competition
and corporate commercial lawyers,
in-house counsel, regulators and
corporate strategy executives.
CCS Chief Executive, Mr. Toh Han
Li and Chief Executive, Intellectual
Property Office of Singapore, Mr.
Daren Tang Heng Shim opened
the seminar with a speech. CCS
Director (Legal), Ms.Winnie Ching
also participated as a moderator
and a panellist, among many other
academics and industry experts.
