Notices for Information and Documents (Section 61A and 63 Notices)
Notices for Information and Documents (Section 61A and 63 Notices) are formal notices issued to businesses and other organisations to provide specified documents or information to CCCS.
Section 61A notices are issued if CCCS has reasonable grounds for suspecting that a feature, or combination of features, of a market in Singapore prevents, restricts or distorts competition.
Section 63 notices are issued if CCCS has reasonable grounds for suspecting an infringement of the Act by the undertaking(s).
CCCS may also need to gather information from other market players and relevant parties (apart from the party under investigation) for the purposes of its analysis. Such information submitted may be used in its infringement decisions.
The documents or information received will be used by CCCS in for purposes of its investigations or formal analysis. Section 63 Notices will always indicate the subject matter and purpose of the investigation. Full compliance with the section 61A and 63 Notice is required.
