Outreach to NUS Business School
On 3 March 2017, CCS conducted an outreach to a group of NUS Business School Year 4 students taking the Corporate Entrepreneurship programme.
CCS's officer Ms Candice Lee (Senior Assistant Director, Legal & Enforcement) and Mr Nicholas Sim (Competition Analyst, Business & Economics) presented on the Section 54 Prohibition of the Competition Act, how CCS assesses the competition effects of mergers and acquisitions, and how business can conduct their own self-assessment.
The students then facilitated a case study on the acquisition of Asia Pacific Breweries by Heineken (previously filed with CCS) and had the opportunity to put into practice assessing the effects to competition resulting from the acquisition.
